Virtual / Remote (“online”) types of participation
During the symposium, you can use the following types of virtual (remote) participation:

Virtual poster session
All types of virtual (remote) participation will be provided over Zoom Software. To become a participant of one or more virtual participation types, you need to download the Zoom Software, which is available on the official website of the company: www.zoom.us, and after register on the basic registration page: https://zoom.us/signup
Please make sure that the Zoom software is installed on your computer and ready for a webinar streaming. Participation in virtual sessions as well as in the plenary session will be possible when the relevant link is activated. Before the Symposium, each participant will receive the links of sessions by e-mail, where you will be able to enter the relevant virtual conference room of the Symposium. Links will also be available on the Symposium website and listed in the Symposium program.
Zoom Software provides live video communications and online presentations to all participants.
E-session (Oral presentation on line)
If you choose the type of participation as an E-session (Oral presentation on line), you will be given 15 minutes (10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion). In order to avoid technical problems, you can send your presentation by e-mail iris.latvia@gmail.com a week before the symposium takes place.
Audio PowerPoint presentation (voice-over) provides the possibility to record in advance voice PowerPoint slides. To record voice PowerPoint slides, you must select „Slide Show” and after „Record Slide Show” in the PowerPoint program. The recorded audio PowerPoint presentation you need to send by e-mail iris.latvia@gmail.com or download on the website of the Symposium in the bottom of the page ("Audio Presentation") by filling out the google form. Recorded voice (audio) PowerPoint presentation cannot exceed 10 minutes. The voice (audio) PowerPoint presentation will be played over Zoom Software (www.zoom.us) platform during the scheduled audio session in accordance with the symposium program.
Virtual workshop provides association of participants in groups (not less than 5 people) for discussion of a certain subject (problem) chosen by participants. The group of participants can organize a workshop in English, Russian or Latvian, and also in any other language which is accepted and understood by all participants of group (for example, in German, Polish, Turkish, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese or other languages). You elect the head of your group, a form of discussion and give us the title of your topic and names of participants.
The virtual workshop group leader, after registering on the https://zoom.us/signup page, needs to schedule (create) his/her conference (workshop) in Zoom platform with the date and time of the workshop according to the symposium program. Once the workshop is scheduled, the group leader over Zoom platform will receive a link that he/she will need to forward to all workshop participants via e-mail to allow them to connect online. The link must also be sent to organizer of the symposium by e-mail iris.latvia@gmail.com
For participation in a workshop it is also necessary to send abstract in English. During the workshop participants exchange experience, discuss the existing problems in their sphere, suggest (offer) their solutions of problems and get from each other a practical advice and recommendations in an informal situation.
A virtual workshop can also be organized with the invitation of a key speaker who will lead the workshop and be the group leader. We will inform you about the organization of such workshop and the topic of the workshop later.
Virtual poster session
If your participation is a demonstration of the virtual poster (Virtual poster session), please prepare a PowerPoint poster, which will reflect the main results of your research (using a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other visualization tools). We recommend to use a digital PowerPoint poster with the following formatting requirements: size 16:9 (horizontal), quality 1920 x 1080. A sample of a digital PowerPoint poster is shown below (Poster Example). If necessary, you can prepare up to a maximum of 3 PowerPoint poster slides. You can also use another e-poster display format, such as a poster created in Word program or using other technical visualization tools. Virtual poster session will be provided over Zoom Software platform (www.zoom.us)
During the poster session you need to display your poster online to other participants who will be in the virtual conference room of your poster session, discuss the problems of the research work with those participants who might be interested. In order to avoid technical problems, you can send your e-poster by e-mail iris.latvia@gmail.com a week before the symposium takes place.
All participants of the symposium will be issued certificates confirming the presentation of your research at the international scientific symposium "Economics, Business & Finance."
If you wish to participate in a symposium, but do not want to publish your article in the proceedings of the scientific symposium, you have to send only your abstract in English. In this case, you will have opportunity to submit your paper to a scientific journal until September 1, 2024.
You can submit papers (articles) to Symposium Proceedings in English, Russian and Latvian. Your presentation also may be available in English, Russian or Latvian.
All abstracts must be written in English.
