During the symposium, you can use the following types of participation:

 

• Regular (Oral presentation)   

• Poster (Demonstration of the poster)

• Workshop

• E-session

• Attending only (Listener)

 

If you choose the type of participation as an oral presentation, you will be given 20 minutes (15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion). For oral presentation, you must have Power Point presentation version on the USB Flash support. In order to avoid technical problems, you can send your presentation by email iris.latvia@gmail.com a week before the symposium takes place. All rooms for oral presentations will be equipped with the necessary technical equipment - computer (laptop) and a screen for Power Point presentations.  

 

If your participation is a demonstration of the poster (Poster Section), please prepare a poster, which will reflect the main results of your research. The size of the poster should not exceed 70 x 90 cm (the optimal size of poster is 70 cm in length and 90 cm in height). During the poster section you need to be near your poster and discuss the problems of the research work with someone who might be interested. You also need to have a few samples of your research work, so you can transfer them to the participants of the symposium who are interested in your research.

Participation in a workshop provides association of participants in groups (not less than 5 people)

for discussion of a certain subject (problem) chosen by participants. The group of participants can

organize a workshop in English, Russian or Latvian, and also in any other language which is accepted

and understood by all participants of group (for example, in German, Polish, Turkish, Spanish,

Chinese, Japanese or other languages). You elect the head of your group, a form of discussion and

give us the title of your topic and names of participants. For participation in a workshop it is also

necessary to send abstract in English. During the workshop participants exchange experience,

discuss the existing problems in their sphere, suggest (offer) their solutions of problems and get

from each other a practical advice and recommendations in an informal situation.

 

If your participation is in the form of E-session, you need to prepare the presentation in Power

Point and to show it using the Skype in the certain time according to the program of symposium.

During E-session you show and sound the presentation by Skype using video and audio equipment.

If you choose the type of participation as an E-session, you will be given 20 minutes (15 minutes for

the electronic /virtual/ presentation and 5 minutes for discussion and answers to questions). To

take part in E-session, you need to have the following technical means: computer, Skype

connection, video camera, and microphone. Participants of electronic session have to send their

Skype address by e-mail iris.latvia@gmail.com 2 weeks before the beginning of the symposium. Also

we recommend to send your Power Point presentation by above mentioned e-mail a week before

the beginning of a symposium in order to avoid technical problems. Communication of participants

during E-session will be provided on line. The form of E-session allows to take part in the

If you are just a listener (attending only), you will have the opportunity to visit the plenary session and all working sessions, as well as take part in debates and discussions of topical issues. All listeners will receive a full package of symposium materials and certificate of attendance.

 

Participants of oral presentation, poster session, workshop and E-session will be issued a certificate confirming the presentation of your research at an international symposium.
  
If you wish to participate in a symposium with oral presentation or with a demonstration of the poster (poster section), or take part in workshop or in E-session, but do not want to publish your article in the proceedings of the scientific symposium, you have to send only your abstract in English.

  

You can submit papers (articles) in English, Russian and Latvian. Your presentation also may be available in English, Russian or Latvian.

All abstracts must be written in English.
